Engagements

Four ways to work together.

Every engagement is scoped and quoted around your specific problem — nothing off-the-shelf. But you shouldn't have to guess at budget, so we've included honest starting ranges for each way of working.

Ranges are indicative starting points, not fixed prices. We'll give you a firm quote after a short scoping conversation.

Straight answers

How pricing actually works.

Why don't you list fixed prices?

Because nothing we build is off-the-shelf. A portal redesign for a 2,000-student college and a 40,000-student university are different problems. Rather than pad a template price to cover the unknowns, we scope your specific work and quote it honestly. The ranges above tell you where things typically start.

What do you need to give me a quote?

A short conversation. Tell us the problem, roughly what success looks like, your timeline, and a rough budget if you have one in mind — no need to have it pinned down. We'll come back within one business day with a recommended approach and a firm quote. No drawn-out sales process.

What's the difference between a Care plan and a Partnership?

A Care plan keeps something we've already built running: monitoring, security patches, accessibility upkeep, and small fixes on a light monthly retainer. A Partnership is a dedicated senior team actively building new things with you. Many clients ship a Project, move to a Care plan to keep it healthy, and step up to a Partnership when they're ready to build again.

How do you bill?

Projects are typically milestone-based against a fixed scope. Care plans and Partnerships are billed monthly. Advisory work is time-boxed. Whatever the model, you'll always know what you're paying for before we start.

Do you work with tight or grant-funded budgets?

Often. Many of our clients are non-profits and public institutions. If budget is fixed, tell us the number: we'll be honest about what's achievable and help you prioritize what matters most.
